Author Richard Louv to Discuss Reconnecting Children with Nature

In his recent book, Last Child in the Woods, bestselling author Richard Louv discusses nature-deficit disorder and how we can reconnect our children with nature. On March 20, Louv will discuss the role of health care providers in prescribing nature to prevent and treat chronic disease; the role of the parks in promoting, collaborating and funding Park Prescription initiatives; and the role of the public health community regarding the relevance of parks to our public's health.
