"Advancing the Dream" Reception
Start Date: 1/17/2017Start Time: 12:00 PM
End Date: 1/17/2017End Time: 1:00 PM

Please join us for a reception hosted by the SMHS Office of Diversity and Inclusion in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., an American civil rights leader.
Through non-violent civic activism, Dr. King successfully advocated for human rights issues such as economic equality and racial justice. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is best remembered for his "I Have a Dream" speech delivered during the 1963 March on Washington.
Today, the GW SMHS commits to "Advancing the Dream" by embracing the challenge of eliminating health disparities and transforming health care to enrich and improve the lives of those we serve.
At the event, attendees will create pledges about how they will advance the dream.
We hope you will join us as GW SMHS salutes Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for his leadership and advocacy for civil rights.
Cake and hot apple cider will be served.
