Docs In Progress' Peer Pitch at the DC Interactive Doc Summit
Start Date: 3/12/2014Start Time: 10:00 AM
End Date: 3/12/2014End Time: 5:00 PM

Docs In Progress is partnering with the DC Interactive Documentary Summit and The Documentary Center at George Washington University to present a special edition of Peer Pitch, our popular program for Washington DC-area documentary filmmakers to get feedback from peers on their pitches and trailers. Learn more and register.

This full day program will give up to ten documentary filmmakers the opportunity to present new projects to fellow filmmakers for feedback and for all attending to gain valuable insights and new connections which can guide their own filmmaking.

Constructive feedback from peers in a nurturing environment will help to identify strengths and areas for improvement in projects. Participants will also develop skills and comfort in verbally describing their projects among peers before trying their pitches out on industry.  At the end of Wednesday, participants will vote on three of the day’s pitched projects to select three to participate in a larger forum on Friday, March 14 as part of the DC Interactive Documentary Summit where they will get feedback from industry experts on how they can successfully expand their documentary projects to the transmedia space.

Peer Pitch takes place all day on Wednesday, March 12 at George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs, only a few blocks from the Foggy Bottom Metro stop and convenient to parking garages.  The Summit will take place on Thursday and Friday in the same building.  For more on the Summit’s agenda, click here.
